Oxford Student Publications Ltd. is a student-run organisation dedicated to
providing journalism and publishing experience to undergraduates and
graduates at Oxford University. The company is based in Grade II-listed offices in central
Oxford, and publishes a range of newspapers and magazines, including the renowned
Cherwell newspaper, the award-winning Isis magazine and, of course,
Etcetera.
OSPL is Oxford's only independent student publisher which can boast
distribution of its publications throughout every undergraduate college in
the university. This makes its products an excellent choice both for advertisers
interested in ensuring maximum coverage amongst Oxford students, and for
students themselves who wish to get involved in journalism or the business side of the company.
OSPL was incorporated in 1961, when it was established as a holding company
for the Cherwell newspaper. The Isis brand was acquired in the late 1990s. As the recent introduction
of Etcetera demonstrates, OSPL is always open to developing its roster of publications and improving
its comprehensive appeal to the student market.
